The Porch Club of Riverton

The Porch Club of Riverton is a non-profit association founded in 1890 for the purpose of inspiring, encouraging, educating and bettering its membership and the global community. A socially and civically engaged group, The Porch Club is one of the country’s first organized women’s clubs, a member of the New Jersey Federation of Women’s Clubs, and the General Federation of Women’s Clubs. Since its inception over one hundred years ago, The Porch Club’s purpose has been to serve as a center for social, civic and cultural enrichment and change. Today, our dynamic and vibrant membership continues that tradition – promoting camaraderie, exchanging ideas, keeping our hearts and minds open to new experiences, and employing our diverse talents and creativity to raise both awareness and funding for the causes and charities we support.

Community Service

Members of The Porch Club are committed to contributing to local and global service projects that enhance the quality of life. Community Outreach is a cornerstone of our mission. Our projects provide opportunities to build friendships, expand our interests, talents and lend valuable assistance.

Membership

Welcoming all women who value enriching their lives by volunteering in the community. Representing 26 towns, 7 counties and 3 states we bond through learning, laughter and goodwill. In addition to our community service efforts, we host
and participate in a variety of cultural and social opportunities with our extended family and friends.

If you are looking for a place to have a special party or event, The Porch Club is the ideal space for you and your guests. The charming Adirondack-style clubhouse, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is conveniently located in Burlington County on the banks of the Delaware River in Riverton, New Jersey, just ten minutes from Center City Philadelphia.
